Nicholas Africano

Nicolas Africano was born in Kankakee, Illinois in 1948 and continues to work and live in the state. Originally working as a painter, Africano created large-scale paintings with wax relief figures that explored his life experiences. These pieces eventually led to his work with glass cast figures that he continues to create today.
